The ideal candidate must have strong managerial and administration skills, must be an excellent communicator and must be willing to work in a dynamic and pressurized environment.

The candidate must have sound knowledge of relevant and related SA labour law, employment equity, BCEA and all other statutory requirements as per the legislation.

 

Qualifications

 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or equivalent experience

• Management, Commerce or Behavioral Sciences. You

• 5 years relevant Management experience in a similar function would be advantageous.

• Overall, more than 8 years in the Human

• Resources Management Field preferably, Manufacturing and Construction

Project Manager – Civil Construction

Expert 10 years

Babina Tlou Trading and Projects is looking for an ambitious, career-driven qualified Technician with strong technical and project skills to manage our Civil construction projects in South Africa. The incumbent must have experience in construction of concrete reservoir,  excavation both detailed and bulk gabion baskets and mattresses retaining walls bulk water and sewer pipelines and underground services including storm water sewer reticulation and ducts,  road building construction and knowledge of MS Project.

 

Requirements

 

• B- Tech (specialising in road construction, and or water reticulation)

• Pr Eng./ Pr Tech Eng

• Minimum 10 years’ experience

• Willingness to travel

• Valid drivers license

• Able to work under pressure

• Be able to demonstrate sound abilities to listen, challenge, influence, present, guide

  and negotiate

 

  Job Description

 Be up to date with all sites progress, monitoring of all sites.

 

• Visiting sites on regular basis.

• Manage the total Project life cycle.

• Develop a cost-effective plan and schedule for completion of projects following a

   logical pattern for utilization of resources.

• Tracks and controls construction schedule and associated costs to achieve

   completion of project within time and monies allocated.

• Oversees Project support activities, such as quality assurance, configuration control,

   project interface, and environmental mitigation monitoring, systems integration, and

   property and right-of-way acquisition, administration of interagency agreements.

• Contracts administration and procurement, community relations, management and

   administrative services support.

• Monitors the budget and schedule performance, implements cost and schedule

  control procedures and implements elements of the quality assurance program.

• Reports to clients about progress and any necessary modifications of plans.

• Builds good relationships between client, consultants and construction teams.

• Manages and coordinates the completion of all required project documentation and

  reporting within specified deadlines, including: Minutes, Progress Reports.

 

Management reports, Quality Reports, Monthly reports.

 

• Responsible for proper administration of construction contracts and for obtaining all

   necessary permits and licenses.

• Timely communication of project status and issues, and maintains technical and

   administrative control for projects.

• Management of project deliverables to achieve within cost, quality and time

   constraints.

• Regular contact with the clients, external service providers to ensure high levels of

   service and efficiency with all stakeholders

Tender Pricing Analyst / Junior QS

5 to 10 years’ experience in relevant field

The Tender Pricing Analyst will support pricing for tender (bids) for projects within the geographical scope of the Quantity Survey Department, Construction or others as directed and help with the development and maintenance of processes and tools that support the department or operations. The incumbent will report to the Quantity Survey Manager, carrying out the normal duties and functions which occur within a professional Quantity Surveying office.

 

Core Accountabilities:

• Pricing of all tender documents

• Ensuring that all the returnable are as per the scope of work as per the Bill of Quantities

•  Preparing estimates of construction costs

• Measurement of building quantities for bill preparation and final accounts

• Drafting Bills of Quantities

• Site visits and site measurement

• Preparing valuations for issue of interim payment certificates

• Assisting with cost management of construction projects

• Preparing and concluding final accounts

• Complying with basic office rules and procedures

• Complying with the procedures laid down by the Association of South African Quantity

• Surveyors regarding obtaining registration. It is expected that registration will be

  obtained at the earliest possible date.

• Attending all in-house seminars and workshops

• Obtaining the required computer literacy and skills

•  Working in conjunction with other staff.

• Ensuring compliance with the firm’s quality management systems, including establishing a full knowledge of the quality and practice manuals

• Team player with ability to work under pressure

   Requirements

 

BSC/ Honours Quantity Surveyor / Property Development.

Valid driver’s license

5 to 10 years’ experience in relevant field
